The Mumbai Indians’ horror in IPL 2022 continued as they lost for the eighth time in a row, extending their winless streak to eight games. On Sunday, Mumbai were defeated by Lucknow Super Giants by 36 runs, allowing them to ascend to fourth place in the IPL points standings.
Mumbai had yet another disappointing performance, with batsmen like Ishan Kishan and Kieron Pollard continuing to struggle. With the bowling, Pollard grabbed two wickets but was dismissed for 19 by former MI colleague Krunal Pandya. Krunal’s farewell address after dismissing Pollard, on the other hand, did not go over well with Twitter users.

Pandya came up to Pollard after taking his wicket and kissed him on the head. Despite the fact that both cricketers are excellent friends off the field, Twitter was not impressed.
KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, batted first and scored an unbeaten 103 off 62 balls, his second century of the season, to help his team register 168 for six in their 20 overs.

MI, on the other hand, had a shaky start, with Ishan Kishan trying to get going. He was eventually dismissed after a total of eight out of twenty balls. Dewald Brevis (3) and Suryakumar Yadav (7) also failed to contribute meaningfully, leaving their team stranded at 58 for three in 9.4 overs.
