Jhulan Goswami, the veteran India bowler, reached yet another milestone in her remarkable 22-year-old career on Saturday, becoming the all-time leading wicket-taker in the ICC Women’s World Cup’s history. Goswami has eclipsed Australia’s Lynette Fullston, who took 39 wickets in a six-year career from 1982 to 1988.

With West Indies chasing a massive mark of 318 set by India, Goswami completed the feat by removing Anisa Mohammed in the 36th over of the innings.

As a result, Goswami is in first place, ahead of Fullston, Carole Hodges (37 wickets) and Claire Taylor (36) of England, and another Australian, Cathryn Fitzpatrick (33).
