De Villiers expresses regret over RCB letting go of Chahal

De Villiers expresses regret over RCB letting go of Chahal. “RCB released him. It was a tragic occasion. He was their best bowler and a part of the furniture there, according to De Villiers.

Unquestionably one of the best bowlers in IPL (Indian Premier League) history is star Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal, who is currently playing for the Rajasthan Royals in the competition. Made history by being the first player to take 200 wickets in the competition’s history.

The 33-year-old has been a mainstay for every team he has played for. It is noteworthy that Chahal was a key member of Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s squad prior to RR enticing him in the mega auction in 2022.

The fans did not understand RCB’s decision to let go of Chahal. Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers recently spoke out about how painful it to witness RCB let go of Chahal.

“RCB released him. It was a tragic occasion. He was their best bowler and part of the furniture there. That he was left out of that franchise absurd. “Watching Yuzi reach 200 wickets and him not being a part of the RCB is not easy. ” De Villiers stated in a video posted to his YouTube channel.

Yuzvendra Chahal continue to perform in IPL 2024

Chahal has continued to play at the top level even after being cut by RCB prior to the 2022 IPL. The star spinner was acquired by the Rajasthan Royals at auction. In his first season with the team, he won the IPL Purple Cap, which helped lead them to the championship match.

In addition, he has kept up his performance for the Royals. He is currently tied for 13 wickets with Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel as the joint highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2024. The 17th season of the league has seen the Royals perform remarkably well thanks to Chahal’s outstanding performances; the tournament’s current leaders are the original champions.

Rajasthan Royals are well on their way to qualifying for the tournament’s playoffs and appear to be serious contenders for the championship with 14 points from eight games.
