On his official Twitter account, Wasim Jaffer’s wit and sense of humor have been well-documented. The former Indian batter was at his witty best once more, this time in reaction to Kevin Pietersen’s remark.
Jaffer’s recent post came after New Zealand defeated England. In the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, advancing to the final.
Kevin Pietersen, on the other hand, tweeted on November 2 that England should be handed the title now. Only Pakistan and Afghanistan, according to the former England hitter. They were capable of defeating the Eoin Morgan-led side, and that on a used pitch in Sharjah.

After being called in to bat first, England reached 166/4 in 20 overs, thanks to Moeen Ali’s unbeaten 37-ball 51 and Dawid Malan’s 30-ball 41. In response, Chris Woakes overcame Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson in the front row to lead New Zealand’s chase.
Daryl Mitchell and Devon Conway, on the other hand, led the comeback with an 82-run combination. This was before James Neesham came out firing and scored 27 off just 10 deliveries, including three sixes, to put the game away. Mitchell went on to knock an undefeated 72 off 47 deliveries before hitting a boundary to end the game in style.
The winner of Pakistan’s second semi-final match against Australia will face New Zealand in the final. On November 14th, the final will be held.
