Brad Hogg wants Kane Richardson to replace Pat Cummins in Australia’s remaining matches: T20 World Cup 2021

Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg believes Pat Cummins should be replaced by Kane Richardson. In Australia’s remaining T20 World Cup matches. Australia, according to Brad Hogg, must be brave and respond in accordance with the standards.

Pat Cummins has been Australia’s go-to bowler and is frequently used as a first-change bowler by skipper Aaron Finch. In the three matches thus far, the 28-year-old has been in good form, taking five wickets and averaging 21.67. Cummins, on the other hand, has yet to make the necessary impact.

Brad Hogg believes that all of the teams have specialist T20I bowlers and that Kane Richardson is a better T20I bowler than Pat Cummins.

Mitchell Starc

“You look at the better teams that are dominating T20 cricket, they have specialist bowlers in there. And have really good death bowlers. You’ve got Mitchell Starc there but when you have Cummins. Who hasn’t played a lot of T20 cricket because of the schedule and has been rested – and you’ve got Kane who has been doing that role for a long time.” said Hogg

“Sometimes you’ve got to bite the bullet and go, ‘Right, well these are our big names but they haven’t been in this system playing this type of format in the roles we need in the T20 team.’ I think the selectors could look at that and I would have thought they could go in Kane Richardson’s favour.” Hogg added

Richardson’s cutters could mislead opposing batsmen on low and sluggish tracks, making him a threat. The Men in Yellow, on the other hand, haven’t changed their pace-bowling attack yet, and aren’t likely to do so in their next two games.
