Faf du Plessis will improve the team’s batting and leadership skills: Bangar, Sanjay
Previous South Africa captain Faf du Plessis may be a prepared entertainer who; also agreeing to Illustrious Challengers Bangalore head coach Sanjay Bangar; will boost the top-order batting and advantage the squad with his authority skills. The 37-year-old ingenious batsman, who has played for the Chennai Super Lords for numerous; a long time and has moreover opened the batting for them; was one of RCB’s best buys at the IPL Mega Sell off, where the group acquired 19 players.
The entry of Faf du Plessis reinforces the batting lineup altogether. “The Bangar may be a demonstrated entertainer, a prepared campaigner; and have conveyed at the highest levels,” the establishment expressed in an explanation a day after the auction. “We were also looking for somebody who could cement our best arrangement and his nearness to the group does just that. With different encounters of playing over groups, it gives us choices, not fair in terms of opening the batting line; but moreover, with administration skills.”
RCB also paid Rs 10.75 crore for Indian all-rounder Harshal Patel; Rs 10.75 crore for Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga; Rs 7.75 crore for Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood; and Rs 5.50 crore for India wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik.
“We’re pleased with our auction haul, which has allowed us to put together a well-balanced team.” Bangar explained; Our objective was to deliver consistency while still having variations; due to the changing scenarios in a T20 tournament.

Harshal Patel had a fantastic season last year; and was an obvious pick for us to go the extra mile on the bid. We are thrilled to welcome him and other of our players back to the RCB family; and we couldn’t be more excited to reinvest in guys we have watched develop over the years. Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammed Siraj had all been retained by the RCB.
