Jofra Archer, a British bowler who signed a Rs 8 crore deal with the Mumbai Indians; despite missing out on the IPL this year owing to injury, says joining the team is like; “beginning a modern chapter” in his career. Bowman was purchased by the five-time IPL champions; on the final day of the IPL 2022 mega sell off in Bengaluru on Sunday. As he recovers from elbow surgery, he is unlikely to play in the IPL this season; but he has been granted permission to participate in the auction for the 2023 and 2024 tournaments.
