Delhi Police’s hilarious post after India beat Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2024. “Hey, @NYPDnews, we heard two loud noises. One is “Indiaaa..India!”, and another is probably of broken televisions. Can you please confirm?” Delhi Police tweeted.
On Sunday, June 9, India overcame Pakistan in a low-scoring thriller at the T20 World Cup 2024, held at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
India lost the toss and batted first in the game. India only scored 119 runs following a poor batting effort in the first innings. However, the Men in Blue capitalised on the ball, and while the game appeared to be slipping at one point, India recovered with a fantastic performance.
Following the game, Delhi Police’s official X (previously known as Twitter) handle turned to social media and posted a humorous tweet about it. “Hello, @NYPDnews. We heard two big noises. One is “Indiaaa..India!” and the other is probably of broken televisions. Could you please confirm? The Delhi Police tweeted.

In addition, Rishabh Pant’s important 42 runs in 31 deliveries helped India steady their innings, allowing them to score 119 runs in the first innings. Pakistan’s highest wicket-takers were Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf, each with three wickets. Furthermore, Mohammad Amir also collected two wickets, while Shaheen Shah Afridi took one.
To chase down the mark, Pakistan’s openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan scored 13 and 31 runs, respectively. The middle order failed to contribute much, with Usman Khan, Fakhar Zaman, and Imad Wasim scoring 13, 13, and 15 runs, respectively.
At one stage in the game, Pakistan needed to score one run every ball, but rapid breaks allowed India to take the lead. Jasprit Bumrah got three wickets, Hardik Pandya struck twice, while Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh grabbed one each as India triumphed by six runs.
