On Friday, the Rajasthan Royals announced the hiring of Steffan Jones as their high-performance fast bowling coach. In 2019, the 48-year-old former pacer from Wales served as the team’s fast bowling coach. Jones will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, advice; and also support to all bowlers in the Royals’ set-up throughout the year; with a focus on the off-season and the lead-up to the IPL season, according to a media release.

Jones will work with the group amid their pre-season camp, which is able be conducted; from Walk 7 to 10 at the Royals’ Tall Execution Middle in Nagpur; and will at that point remain with the club to help the bowlers in their arrangements for the prospective season.

“Steffan has been intimately linked with the franchise over the past few years; so he understands the culture completely,” Royals Director of Cricket Kumar Sangakkara said. “He also brings with him a very able coaching style; which has been appreciated by both players and management in the past.”
