Devon Conway is expecting a flurry of emotions when his cricket career; comes full circle at the Hagley Oval on Thursday in the first Test against South Africa. He was born in Johannesburg and spent the first 26 years of his life there before deciding; to migrate to New Zealand, has lived in the country for just over four years. Conway will bat at No. 3 with Henry Nicholls and Daryl Mitchell, according to head coach Gary Stead, who described the left-hander as a ‘ultimate professional’ who sees no external obstacles preventing him from building on an impressive start to his Test career, which has also seen him average 69.22 from five games.
