“Arsenal fans were euphoric after Lacazette’s clipped free kick forced Liverpool; goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher to tip the ball against the crossbar. Liverpool, on the other hand, quickly found their stride, and the opening goal was of exceptional quality. Liverpool pushed the ball out to Trent Alexander-Arnold from deep inside their own half; thanks to a beautiful flick from Roberto Firmino. Jota was fed by Alexander-Arnold; who ran inside Takehiro Tomiyasu before fooling Aaron Ramsdale with a slow-rolling shot into the corner.

Arsenal’s hopes of a comeback were dashed when right back Alexander-Arnold drifted a pass to Jota; who chested the ball down some time before dinking a dazzling wrap up past Ramsdale.
