As such, Team India is set to play a few high-intensity warm-up games against Britain and Australia in the lead-up to the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Therefore, on October 18, The match against Britain will be held, three days after the IPL final. It’ll be taken after by a clash against Aaron Finch’s Australian group on October 20.

Both England and Australia are part of Group 1 of the T20 World Cup, which also includes the West Indies and South Africa. The groups won’t play against India within the league stage of most events.

ICC competitions just like the 50-over World Cup and the T20 World Cup host such warm-up matches with groups from the inverse bunches. The groups use the opportunity to test out their combinations and seat strength.

India’s T20 World Cup campaign will start on October 24 against arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai. Other Gather 2 individuals are New Zealand and Afghanistan. Both Bunch 1 and Bunch 2 will too be joined by two teams each from the Qualifying circular, held between eight groups isolated into Bunch A and B) from October 17.

The best four groups will eventually square off in two semi-finals on November 10 and 11 punctuated by the ultimate on November 14.
