India has the lowest single-day increase in COVID cases since May 12, 2020, at 3,614. The number of Covid infections in India increased by 3,614 new cases on Saturday bringing the total to 4,29,87,875 infections; but the number of active cases fell to 40,559, according to the Union Health Ministry. According to the ministry’s figures updated at 8 a.m.; the death toll from the viral sickness has risen to 5,15,803, with 89 more fatalities. The active cases make up 0.09 percent of the total caseload; while the COVID-19 recovery rate in the country has improved to 98.71 percent, according to the ministry.
