Sarjubala Devi an Indian boxer, has turned professional.
Sarjubala Devi, a decorated Indian lady boxer and Olympian, has decided to pursue a professional; career and also has signed a deal with Mujtaba Kamal; a famous Indian boxing promoter, and Grassroot Boxing Promotions and Management in Imphal.
Manipuri, a former Youth World Boxing gold medalist and also silver medalist; in the 2014 AIBA World Boxing Championship in Korea, will make her professional boxing debut on February 26 in Dubai.
Sarjubala is also a four-time national champion, competing in nearly every competition; she enter and represent India in numerous international tournaments.
In 2014, she was rated second in her weight category.
Sabari J (current WBC India champion), Karthik S (WBC Asian silver winner), Faizan Anwar; Lalrinsanga Tlau (WBC juvenile world champion), Asif Asad, Gurpreet Singh; and also other top Indian professional boxers are currently manage by Mujtaba’s business.

Mujtaba expressed his delight at the addition of a world-class boxing prospect to his kennel.
“With the announcement that Sarjubala is joining the professional ranks today marks a major day for our sport,” he remarked.
