Wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik praised Ravi Shastri and the rest of the coaching staff for their contributions while with the Indian team. As a result, they did not apply for the positions again after the T20 World Cup in 2021. As a result, that was their last assignment. The BCCI has appointed Rahul Dravid as the new head coach, with the remaining appointments expected to be announced soon.
The trio’s lack of ICC trophy should not be the first thing that comes to mind, according to Karthik. He noted how each member of the coaching staff contributed to the team’s quality and depth by bringing something unique to the table.
“We always talk about how Shastri was not able to deliver a ICC title but we should also speak about how many bilateral series we won under him, it was second to none. I wish people remember this set of coaching staff for all the things they achieved in terms of batting, bowling and fielding. ” Karthik said
“R Sridhar has been fabulous in that department, the level of fielding has gone upto a couple of notches. Going abroad, picking up 20 wickets consistently, so B Arun has done a fabulous job over a period of time. Credit to Shastri, for pulling up the team when the chips were down.” Karthik elaborated
He discussed how the fielding and bowling departments had improved.

Shastri and others converted the Indian team into a force to be reckoned with, according to Simon Doull. Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri’s partnership propelled Indian cricket forward, he said.
“Shastri’s legacy will be the bilateral series and the depth that has been created. His combination with Virat has been exceptional. This tournament should not be what should be used to judge the coaches. Shastri has left the Indian team in an incredibly strong position.” Doull said
With Virat Kohli stepping down as the T20 captain, Rahul Dravid would have two captains to deal with. Rohit Sharma and Dravid, according to Karthik, will click immediately away. Given their opposing personalities, he’s interested to watch how Kohli and Dravid form a bond.
