IPL 2022: Umran Malik stuns Nicholas Pooran with a devastating bouncer
Umran Malik of Jammu and Kashmir was the IPL 2021 find, and Sunrisers Hyderabad; kept him by investing 4 crores in the auctions this year. In IPL 2021, the 22-year-old bowled a 151.03 km/h delivery; which was the quickest by an Indian bowler in the competition.
Malik once again showcased his speed during the SRH net practice; where he astonished Nicholas Pooran with his raw velocity and bounce ahead of the 15th season of the IPL. Malik plagued the West Indian with his rapid deliveries, leaving him bewildered at times. He was capable of hitting 150kph and maintaining such a tempo throughout spells.
Pooran was pressed for space in back-to-back deliveries, and the southpaw was caught on mid-wicket after mistiming a pull shot. He was beaten for pace on both occasions, and the video will undoubtedly delight Sunrisers fans.
Malik’s meteoric climb has been incredible. He grew up playing tennis-ball cricket and only picked up a leather ball for the first time in 2018; when he showed up at a local coaching center without even a pair of shoes. For him, there has been no turning back since then.
