Mohammed Siraj makes startling revelation after RCB’s annihilation of GT. Siraj delivered an outstanding performance for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their four-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans on Saturday, May 4.

After Faf du Plessis won the toss and chose to play first in front of a full M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Siraj brought his A-game with the new ball, taking the wickets of openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill.

Apart from taking the two key wickets, Siraj kept things tight in his opening spell, conceding only nine runs in two overs. The ace pacer, who had been in poor form prior to the game. Siraj confess after the match that he had been sick for some days. He stated that when he awoke in the morning, he felt compelled to miss the match. However, the Hyderabad native demonstrated incredible tenacity and persistence, producing a match-winning spell that earned accolades from both fans and experts.

“I was pretty ill for the last few days and believe I wouldn’t be able to play today. I really wanted to, so it was amazing that I could. Had a lot of practice with the new ball this year, and I finally succeeded today. Hindustan Times cited Siraj as stating, “Reminded me of last year.”

“When I got up in the morning, I assume I wouldn’t be able to play and that I should relax. When I awoke, I manifested what I intended to do, and it actually happened. It is not easy to switch between red and white ball cricket. “You have to give your all on every ball here,” he said.

Siraj’s performance will not only inspire him to do well in the remaining matches of RCB but also give India a huge relief as he is going to represent the Men in Blue in the T20 World Cup 2024 next month.

RCB stay in hunt for playoffs

RCB kept their playoff hopes alive with their fourth win in 11 matches. Faf du Plessis and his teammates bowled the Titans out for a paltry 147, much to the delight of the thousands of RCB fans in attendance. Along with Siraj, Yash Dayal and Vijaykumar Vyshak each took two wickets in the home team’s disciplined bowling effort.

In response, du Plessis and Virat Kohli wowed the crowd by scoring 92 runs in the first six overs. The former was dismissed after scoring 64 off 23 balls. Kohli also did well with his 42 off 27 balls, hitting two fours and four sixes. The RCB middle order did not contribute much, but Dinesh Karthik and Swapnil Singh led them home with four wickets and 6.2 overs remaining.
