Candice Warner recently state that David Warner will not supported by Cricket Australia during the ball-tampering fiasco.

Furthermore, following Candice’s charges against Cricket Australia, she came out in favor of her husband, who has been experiencing a slump in international cricket. She even believes the 36-year-old been single out for criticism from fans and selectors.

Following her remarks, former Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson spoke out about the claims. David Warner, according to the 41-year-old, has been feeling the fire from fans and selectors owing to his form.

“We’ve all appreciated Warner’s tremendous career as an opener and what he’s achieved. But that’s not what it’s about, his form has not been up to scratch for a while now. Warner even had his wife Candice defending him in her panel role on the TV show The Back Page this week,”

Mitchell Johnson also said that, while Candice Warner commitment is great. If players were solely assess based on their previous accomplishments, Ricky Ponting would still be playing for Australia with Dennis Lillee.

“Her loyalty might be admirable, but it was all a bit weird and cringey when she said if Dave doesn’t perform in that first Test, who do they bring in that’s better? I hate that argument. If players were only judged on their previous achievements, then Dennis Lillee would still be opening the bowling for Australia and Ricky Ponting would be batting at No. 3,”
