During the SRH-MI match in Hyderabad, a fake ticket fraud was detected

In the phony ticket racket operation, the Rachakonda Police apprehended around 13 persons.

Rachakonda police detained over a dozen people in a recent bust for possessing fake security permits and IPL match tickets. On April 18, a group of people entered the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where the Sunrisers Hyderabad were playing the Mumbai Indians in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

“We entered the stadium at around 8 pm and by then those seats were already occupied by some other persons,” The Times of India quoted L Spandana (name changed), a law student, as saying.

Authorities filed a complaint against the ticket distributor after they discovered 13 people with fake security IDs attempting to see the match between SRH and MI. Many sources have shown that ticket dealers are selling phony tickets and IDs by replicating the barcode that is provided on the real copies onto the fake ones.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are struggling to win games.

On Monday, April 24, they played the Delhi Capitals, who were led by David Warner. Hyderabad bowlers bowled brilliantly in the first innings, limiting Delhi just 144 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a brilliant session, allowing only 11 runs and getting two wickets in four overs. Furthermore, Washington Sundar struck three times, surrendering 28 runs in four overs.

During the run chase, though, only Mayank Agarwal and Heinrich Klassen made a good impression. They both have 49 and 31 runs to their names. However, their efforts were in futile as the Delhi Capitals won by seven runs.
