The BCCI will organize a new selection committee in January 2023. The Cricket Advisory Committee, chaired by former cricketer Ashok Malhotra. According to sources, the board received a large number of phony emails. The legitimate ones were submit to the committee. According to Cricbuzz, the interviews would take place in person. According to reports, the CAC has informed the board’s top executives, who will organize travel for the selected applicants.
The entire procedure is expected to be finished by the end of January 2023. In the interim, the former selection committee will make any necessary choices. They also named the India squad for the Sri Lanka series.
Chetan Sharma, the former head selector, has reapplied for the position, along with his colleague Harvinder Singh. Neither of these two could finish their four-year terms and are therefore ineligible for a position on the next selection committee. Meanwhile, several people have applied for the five places on the All India Selection Committee, including Venkatesh Prasad, S Sharath, SS Das, Maninder Singh, Mukund Parmar, Nayan Mongia, Salil Ankola, and Sameer Dighe.
