Gautam Gambhir Responds to Ramiz Raja’s Comment “Pakistan Won’t Tour India For 2023 ODI World Cup.”
Ramiz Raja has stated unequivocally that if India does not visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup next year, the Pakistan cricket team will not tour India for the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Since Jay Shah claimed that India will not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023, a squabble appears to have erupted between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The PCB chairman, Ramiz Raja, responded to Shah’s statements by saying that if Indian players do not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, his squad would not go to India for the ODI World Cup, which also takes place next year. Even former India opener Gautam Gambhir has weighed in on Raja’s remarks.

Gautam Gambhir Responds that whatever conclusion the two boards make will be made collaboratively.
“This is BCCI and PCB’s choice. Whatever choice they make, they will make it as a group “He had informed ANI.
Previously, Ramiz Raja stated on Urdu News that if the BCCI does not send a squad to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, the Pakistan team will not travel to India for the ODI World Cup next year.
“Who will watch the World Cup in India next year if Pakistan does not participate? We have made it plain that if the Indian team comes here, we would compete for the World Cup. If they do not arrive, they will be able to compete in the World Cup without us. We will take a strong stance. Our crew is doing admirably. I’ve always emphasized that we need to enhance Pakistan cricket’s economics, and that can only happen if we play well. We defeated India in the 2021 T20 World Cup. In the T20 Asia Cup, we defeated India. Pakistan’s cricket team defeated a billion-dollar economy team twice in a single year.”
In 2005-06, the Indian cricket team did not visit Pakistan. For years, the two teams have not played bilateral cricket against one other and have only met in ICC competitions.
Over the last decade or so, Pakistan has hosted a number of ‘home’ series in the UAE, but international teams have just begun to travel the country. However, the chances of the Indian squad visiting Pakistan for the Asia Cup remain minimal.
