Will Mumbai Indians attempt to bring in Riley Meredith and Fabien Allen in IPL 2022, MI Anticipated XI versus PBKS?
The Mumbai Indians are currently at the bottom of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 standings; having lost all four games thus far. For the franchise, the mix hasn’t worked out; and they have yet to find a starting XI that can perform in all situations. The five-time champions’ batting, bowling, and fielding have all been below par this season; and this is a major reason for their failure in the ongoing edition. The team’s next match is against Punjab Kings on Wednesday; and it will be interesting to see if any lineup changes are made.
The Mumbai Indians only used two overseas players in their last game against; Royal Challengers Bangalore — Dewald Brevis and Kieron Pollard — thus there’s a case to be made; for playing both Riley Meredith and Fabien Allen.
Here’s how we think the Mumbai Indians should line up against the Punjab Kings’ Rohit Sharma; The right-handed batsman hasn’t been at his best this season, and the Mumbai Indians sorely need him to step up.
Ishan Kishan: The season’s most expensive acquisition has had a mixed bag with the bat; and he appeared to be out of sorts following the match against the Delhi Capitals. The Mumbai Indians are in desperate need of an in-form opening pair.

Dewald Brevis: The young Proteas batter has wowed everyone with his range; and he’ll be hoping to hit a home run for the team.
Suryakumar Yadav: The right-handed batsman has been the finest of the Mumbai; batsmen this season, scoring 50 in his past two appearances against KKR and RCB. He would want to see the performances continue, as well as some backing from the opposite side.
Tilak Varma: The left-handed batsman has the ability to switch gears at a moment’s; notice and may attack the bowling right away. He’d like to see the games end on a high note.
Kieron Pollard: The big-hitting Caribbean hitter has slipped under his radar this season, but he holds the key in the final overs, when the Mumbai Indians desperately need a boost.
Fabien Allen: The Mumbai Indians must find a method to include Fabien Allen into their lineup because he contributes to all three aspects of the game. His strongest strengths are his death-defying strikeouts and acrobatic fielding.
Murugan Ashwin: The spinner has struggled with the ball this season, and he’ll need to rediscover his mojo to assist Rohit Sharma in the middle stages of the game.

Jasprit Bumrah: For the Mumbai Indians, the pacer has been a one-man army, and he has put in solid efforts so far. He sincerely hopes that someone on the other end will stand with him.
Riley Meredith: The Australian fast bowler is a perfect choice to add firepower to Mumbai Indians’ bowling lineup, and he may form a lethal combination with Bumrah if both are on form.
