‘We came here as underdogs,’ Domingo says.
Russell Domingo, Bangladesh’s head coach, has acknowledged that his group is the underdog within the up and coming arrangement against South Africa. Bangladesh fizzled to win a single coordinate in South Africa over all shapes, with the has winning six Tests, nine One-Day Internationals, and four Twenty20 Internationals. Domingo, on the other hand, is hopeful that the streak will be broken this time.

“It’s fantastic to have a guy of his quality on the team. He has a lot of experience. He’s been to this location before. He is a professional player of the highest caliber. We’re overjoyed that he’ll be joining us on the trip. His enthusiasm, attitude, and work ethic have been outstanding. There are no senior or junior players for me. There are only eleven players in all, there is a lot of talk about senior and junior players, but I don’t think it’s necessary.”
Bangladesh’s recent performances have been terrible, and to make matters worse, their newly-appointed fielding coach Shane McDermott has yet to arrive in South Africa after testing positive for Covid-19. “It won’t be any more tough than it will be somewhere else,” Domingo said of the fielders’ challenges in South Africa. “A ball is a ball, whether you’re fielding in Australia, New Zealand, or Bangladesh. It’s up to you to catch it. Obviously, there’s some elevation here. The ball moves a little faster.
