UAE advances to Plate semi-finals Ireland thrashes Canada
Uganda U19 versus UAE U19
Leg spinner Adhitya Shetty’s four-wicket haul created the basis for UAE’s Plate Quarterfinal triumph over Uganda, which they had to work hard for in the end. Shetty delivered the early breakthrough, ripping through the middle of the sequence to enable Uganda be limited to just 123. The Uganda bowlers, on the other hand, were up to the task of defending that pitiful total, and they had UAE at 115 for 9 thanks to three-wicket hauls from Matthew Musinguzi and Joseph Baguma. UAE went from 61 for 2 to 82 for 7 as a result of a middle-order collapse. Soorya Sathish and Aayan Afzal Khan took the team past 100 and close to the total until both were eliminated in the space of five runs, allowing Uganda to pull off a late robbery. However, Shetty hit two fours off Yunusu Sowobi, and No. 11 batsman Jash Giyanani scored the winning runs in the 41st over to help his team over the finish line.

Canada U19 against Ireland U19
Ireland cruised into the next round thanks to a strong bowling performance that matched Phillippus le Roux’s batting performance. After Ireland called to bat first, Le Roux led the way with an 82, but he was unable to sustain his innings due to a lack of able support from the other end. The finest partnership of the innings, worth 48 runs for the eighth wicket, didn’t come until James Forbes came. Le Roux added to Ireland’s innings with another tenacious stand with Muzamil Sherzad, but Ireland’s total was still 179.
