Ajit Agarkar and Tom Moody do not feel that the results of the toss had a say in India’s exit: T20 World Cup 2021

Former cricketers Ajit Agarkar and Tom Moody believe the toss outcome had no bearing on India’s elimination from the T20 World Cup 2021. For the first time since 2012, the Men in Blue have failed to qualify for the semi-finals of an ICC competition, and will meet Namibia in a dead-rubber match today (November 8).

Despite having a strong batting lineup, India failed to score enough runs, according to Ajit Agarkar. In their matches against Pakistan and New Zealand, the Men In Blue came up short.

They were able to repair the net run rate that had been damaged by the early losses, but it was in vain because other results did not go their way.

“The toss did not play a huge role in India’s losses. I think India just did not bat well enough, unfortunately, in spite of having a good batting lineup, which is what cost them the game. If they had scored a lot of runs and lost, you could perhaps blame the tosses, but I’m sure the Indian team would be the first one to say that tosses played a part but not the reason behind India’s losses.” Agarkar told

India’s top-order only started to click in the third game, and they’ll be hoping to keep their winning streak going with a strong performance against Namibia.

Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody agreed that the toss did not have a significant role in the outcome of India’s matches. The team’s inability to play under pressure, according to Moody, was their biggest flaw at the event.

“Toss did not play that big a role in India’s losses. At the end of the day, India just did not play their best cricket under pressure. That was really the main reason they have not had the success they would have liked in this World Cup.” He added

Bowling coach Bharat Arun had stressed the importance of winning the toss in this event prior to the match against Namibia. When compared to teams batting first, Arun believes the chasing team has a significant edge.
