DC and KKR are looking for a boost in their IPL campaigns. The Delhi Capitals will play the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League on Thursday, hoping to put the ‘no-ball’ issue behind them and gain some much-needed momentum. Delhi lost by 15 runs to Rajasthan Royals in a game marked by a no ball controversy over a high full toss, which ended in assistant coach Pravin Amre receiving a one-match suspension. In quarantine, head coach Ricky Ponting watched the nail-biting climax and felt helpless. Now that he’s back with the squad, he’s optimistic about regaining momentum and allowing his players to reach their full potential. With three wins in seven games, the Delhi Capitals are presently sixth in the points table. KKR are in seventh place after losing their last four games. With David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, and Powell in the Delhi batting line-up, KKR’s diverse attack will have to be on its toes to stop the onslaught.
