Sreesanth has registered for the IPL super auction in 2022.
Former Indian bowler S Sreesanth has registered for this round of the mega auction after winning the IPL 2021. According to Cricinfo, he has set his basic price at Rs 50 lakh; which is lower than last year’s base price of Rs 75 lakh. In 2021, however, he was not selected by any franchise.
Sreesanth last appeared in the IPL in 2013, for the Rajasthan Royals; before being suspended for his alleged role in the spot-fixing incident.
Sreesanth had been banned for life by the BCCI and was no longer allowed to play cricket under its auspices. In March 2019, India’s Supreme Court “vacated” his life ban; and ordered the BCCI to “reconsider” and “revisit” the length of any new punishment. The BCCI then reduced his suspension to seven years; allowing him to play all forms of cricket from September 13, 2020.

During the 2020/21 season, Sreesanth spoke to Kerala in the Vijay Hazare Trophy; where he took 13 wickets in six innings at a normal of 24.38.
