In order to be a successful team, India’s newly-appointed T20I skipper Rohit Sharma has emphasize the need of looking at the complete squad and finding a solution.
India eliminated from this year’s T20 World Cup after losses to Pakistan and New Zealand in the group stages. They were largely unsuccessful due to a dearth of bowling options. Which aggravated by Hardik Pandya’s injury.

With another T20 World Cup slated in less than a year, the Men in Blue’s major goal will be to identify. A seam-bowling all-rounder under Rohit Sharma and new head coach Rahul Dravid.
“I think it’s important to groom everyone. I understand the importance of a bowling all-rounder but keeping one particular spot in mind is not the way forward. We just have to look at the entire squad that we have. And how we can also fit in the players and see how we can be effective as a team. he said
“For that, whatever is required and whoever can do that job for us. We will keep an eye on them,” he added. “It’s not about keeping an eye on one or two individuals, it’s about the entire unit that we have. We need to see whatever is also requires for us to be a successful team in this format and we will do that.” he added
India has chosen Venkatesh Iyer, an all-rounder, as a probable backup to Hardik Pandya. Iyer, who can also bowl medium pace, rose to prominence during the second phase of the IPL 2021.
