Scotland defeats Bangladesh- Scotland is pushed back by Mahedi
Scotland struggled to get underway after being given the bat first position.
With a 40-run stand, Matthew Cross and George Munsey attempted to restore sanity until Mahedi Hasan trapped the former in front. After Mahedi castled Munsey in the same over, Scotland received a body blow.
Munsey’s 23-ball 29 included two sixes and fours. In just 4.2 overs, Scotland went from 45 for one to 53 for six.
Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets to pass Lasith Malinga as the all-time highest wicket-taker in Twenty20 Internationals.
Chris Greaves and Mark Watt wrote the script for their team’s comeback and led them to 140 points. Greaves led the team in scoring with 45 runs off 28 balls.

Bangladesh crumble under pressure
Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar couldn’t even get into double digits as Bangladesh’s run-chase got off to a bad start.
The Tigers only scored 25 runs in the first six overs, thanks to early wickets from Bradley Wheal and Josh Davey.
Shakib and Mushfiqur Rahim took over from there. Mushfiqur Rahim unleashed a barrage of shots to boost Bangladesh’s run pace. Shakib, on the other hand, made it to Greaves.
Greaves didn’t stop there, pinning Mushfiqur on 38, who was looking threatening. As the needed rate approached 11 with five overs remaining, it was up to Mahmudullah and Afif Hossain to steady the ship.
After looking well on 18, Afif died at the hands of Watt. The Tigers were doomed as soon as Mahmudullah was out for 23 runs.
