Punjab Kings’ new recruit Nathan Ellis said that being part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is something he had continuously imagined almost while growing up.
“Playing in IPL is something that I’ve dreamt about,” Nathan Ellis told PTI in an interview.
However, Punjab Kings have named Australia pacer Nathan Ellis as a substitution player for the leftover portion of the IPL, beginning from September 19.
Thus, Punjab Kings will miss Riley Meredith and Kane Richardson amid the second phase of the IPL.
Ellis as of late set the T20 world on fire as he got to be the primary bowler ever to choose up a hat-trick on his Worldwide debut. Ellis claimed figures of 3/34 on debut against Bangladesh.
“It is one of those of things you sort of dream about growing up but you know it’s never a reality and it’s never like you’ve definitely going to do it. So to be able to get on that Australia tour was a dream come true,” said Ellis.
“And then I wasn’t really expecting to get a game so to get a game and sort of the results that came from that was amazing and still doesn’t feel really real. And then obviously to get the opportunity to come to the IPL with Punjab,” he added.
Therefore, The youngster was also recently named to the reserves squad of Australia for the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Ellis was one of the standout entertainers of the 2021 Enormous Bash League. He was the leading wicket-taker for his franchise, Hobart Hurricanes, accounting for 20 wickets in fair 14 games.

The 26-year-old is energetic to choose the brains of his colleague Mohammed Shami amid his spell with the Punjab Kings.
“I am really, really excited about talking to Mohammed Shami. I haven’t spoken to him yet but he’s been one of my favorite cricketers,” said Ellis.
