Rajasthan’s incredible season has been propelled by the talent of their captain, Samson. Not only has he marshalled his troops, but his performances with the bat have been nothing short of outstanding. Samson has led from the front, scoring 385 runs in his ten outings. Shane Bond, RR’s fast bowling coach, showered admiration on Samson’s leadership. The former Kiwi pacer also complimented Samson on his selection to India’s T20 World Cup team.
“I’m impressed to be joining this squad for the first time. It’s been great; he (Samson) is a fun guy. I believe he has spent the last few years learning how to manage his time and energy. The IPL is an energy-sapping tournament, particularly on the backend, and it’s encouraging to see his leadership. “He has played brilliantly, and I am delighted that he has been named to the T20 World Cup squad,” Bond said in the pre-match news conference.
