Deepti Sharma’s rise has propelled her to second place in the ICC T20I bowler rankings and fourth place in the all-rounder rankings. Deepti Sharma, in second place with 723 rating points, beat out Nonkululeko Mlaba of South Africa, who had 722 rating points.

Titas Sadhu jumped 50 places to 92nd place in the bowling rankings, earning 358 rating points. The major ranking shift occurred following the players’ outstanding performances in the T20I series against Australia.

In the batting rankings, Australia women’s captain Alyssa Healy re-entered the top ten. While renowned Indian hitter Smriti Mandhana reclaimed fourth position.

Australia women clinch T20I series after hard-fought battle

In terms of on-field assignments, India and Australia women faced off in three T20Is. With each game providing a thrilling spectacle for the fans. India won the first T20I, while Australia won the second, as the series headed to a final in Navi Mumbai.

On Tuesday, December 9, both teams played the third T20I, with the hosts batting first after losing the toss. India women got off to a terrific start, with openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana hitting 26 and 29 runs, respectively.

Richa Ghosh added 34 runs, bringing India’s total to 147 in the first innings. Aiming to chase down the total, the Australian women put up a magnificent effort with the bat, with Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney completing half-centuries to win the game by seven wickets and the series.
