Mushfiqur Rahim has joined Fortune Barishal’s BPL 2024 team. Mushfiqur Rahim was the sole local player in the draft’s Category A.
Star Bangladesh keeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim has been named to Fortune Barishal’s roster for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 season. Rahim select by the team during the BPL auction. Rahim formerly played for Sylhet Sixers, however hes not retained by the club. No other club chose the keeper batter as a straight signing.
However, Fortune Barishal ultimately chose Rahim for the upcoming season. It is also worth noting that Mushfiqur Rahim the only local player in the auction who belonged to Category A, with a price cap of TK 80 lakh. Rangpur Riders chose Rony Talukdar as their player draft pick from the other organizations.
In addition, Mominul Haque and batter Sabbir Rahman were passed over by several organizations in the player draft. Haque was in Category C, with a price cap of Tk 30 lakh, and Rahman was in Category E, with a price cap of Tk 15 lakh.

After the BPL auction concluded, Comilla Victorians head coach Mohammad Salahuddin entered the stage and expressed his team’s confidence in retaining their title. He also mentioned the Victorians drafting Rahkeem Cornwall in the draft.
“We have a very balanced side and we are hopeful to defend the title. He (Cornwall) will certainly bring balance to our squad and we are delight to get him in the player’s auction. ” Salahuddin cited by Cricbuzz as saying.
Another topic of discussion might be the addition of Pakistani players. Owing to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) being delay owing to elections. An official from the event state that they expect Pakistan players to be available in time for the competition.
“The Pakistani players might be available for quite some time in BPL if PSL is shift for election. As we know though there are such kind of suggestions the PSL franchises are against it. ” An official told Cricbuzz.
