Colombo Strikers have unveiled their new LPL uniform for the next season. On July 30, Colombo Strikers will kick off their season against Jaffna Kings.

Colombo Strikers presented their new kit ahead of the fourth edition of the LPL. The Niroshan Dickwella-led team taking on defending champions Jaffna Kings on the first day of the season. Notably, fame Punjabi and Hindi singer Guru Randhawa sang for the players and management ahead of the new season at the jersey introduction ceremony.

Meanwhile, the new shirt is pink and purple, and according to team owner Sagar Khanna. The colors represent passion, freedom, and the style of cricket they want to play in the forthcoming season.

“The Strikers’ teams around the world have traditionally used pink and purple as a color combo. The color pink represents desire, while the color purple represents freedom. “The jersey will remind the players to play with passion. They will undoubtedly be given the freedom to play their natural games. ” Khanna said in a news release.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic tournament: Dickwella

Colombo Strikers captain Dickwella is looking forward to a successful season. He note that the team prepare quite well thus far and is hoping to win the first LPL game of the season.

“We have trained extremely well in preparation for the tournament.” The entire unit is coming together wonderfully. The first game is crucial for any team, and it would be ideal to get off to a solid start. “We’re looking forward to a great tournament,” Dickwella said.

Notably, the Strikers have bolstered their team for the 2017 season by bringing in Pakistan captain Babar Azam. Naseem Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Wahab Riaz. They also have a strong core of Sri Lankan players, like Matheesa Pathirana, Ramesh Mendis, Chamika Karunaratne, and Dickwella himself, who can be dangerous in the middle. As a result, the team will be fired up to get started and win the competition in the fourth season.
