Prithvi Shaw posts a video of batting practice in the rain. In August, India will play five Twenty20 Internationals against the West Indies.
Following his absence from the T20I squad for the West Indies trip and the 2022 Asian Games. Prithvi Shaw sent a benign message to the selectors. The 23-year-old batter took to his official social media account and released a video of his batting practice while it was pouring heavily.
The right-hand batter appear in one Twenty20 International for India against Sri Lanka in 2021. Called up for the home series against New Zealand in early 2023. He did not play a game in that series, though, and has been dropped for the upcoming away series against the West Indies.

Shaw shared a video of himself batting in the rain on his Instagram account.
In a recent interview with Cricbuzz and Wisden. Shaw also acknowledged being denied by the selection committee. The 23-year-old said that no one from the BCCI had told him why he left out. But that a probable issue might have been his fitness. He further stated that he went to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and passed all of the tests there.
Shaw had a forgettable season with the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), scoring only 106 runs from eight matches, including a half-century at an average of 13.25 and a strike rate of 124.70, and was even dropped from a few of Delhi’s matches after a string of poor performances.
The 23-year-old most recently competed in the West Zone 2023 Duleep Trophy. He scored 101 points on 65 balls in the final against South Zone. However, his efforts were in vain as West Zone lost the title match by 75 runs.
