A woman from Gurugram detain for attempting to extort Yuvraj Singh’s mother. Hema Kaushik, who allegedly endangered the Singh family’s image. Apprehended by police while taking a Rs 5 lakh ransom.
The Gurgaon police have arrested a woman in connection with an alleged extortion case involving Shabnam Singh, Yuvraj Singh’s mother. The perpetrator, Hema Kaushik, took on caregiving duties for Yuvraj’s brother Zorawar Singh, who has been suffering from depression for many years.
It was found that the Singh family hired Kaushik in 2022 to look after Zorawar. However, as Yuvraj’s mother claimed, she fired after only 20 days due to her unprofessional behavior. In May, Kaushik attacked the family, threatening to destroy their reputation.

Shabnam Singh filed a complaint with the DLF Phase 1 police station
According to sources, Kaushik threatened to falsely implicate Zorawar in a judicial issue and demanded a ransom of Rs 40 lakh. The cops apprehended her while she was taking Rs 5 lakh as the first installment, which she had requested.
“I informed Hema that the sum was enormous. “It was agreed that Rs 5 lakh would be given to her by Monday, but it was pushed back to Tuesday, and I filed a police complaint. ” Yuvraj’s mother state in the complaint.
After Shabnam Singh filed the complaint, the police acted quickly, setting up a trap and apprehending her while taking the money. According to the information, the accused Hema, also known as Dimpy, lives in South Delhi’s Malviya village.
“The arrested accused woman has been identified as Hema Kaushik alias Dimpy, the wife of Nitesh Kaushik of Malviya village in South Delhi.” Her possession of Rs 5 lakh in cash was seized. “We are questioning the accused woman,” DCP East Nitish Aggarwal told Business Today.
