“I think proud is a term. What I’ve been able to accomplish over those hundreds of years has been an incredible trip. “I have enjoyed every moment of it, and I am extremely excited to walk out in a couple of days at Headingley for my 100,” Steve Smith said in a video shared by Cricket Australia.

“I’ve been fortunate to play with some incredible players in the dressing room, and I believe our team right now is right up there; we have a fantastic group of players.” “We have some great fast bowlers and a spinner (Nathan Lyon) who we are likely to miss in the coming weeks,” he continued.

‘The one time I didn’t like the game was when I had the operation,’ Smith says of his darkest period in his career

Furthermore, Steve Smith reminisced on the lowest moment of his playing career, citing the time in 2019 when he needed to utilize an elbow brace. Smith believes he lost all love for the game during that time.

“The only time I have not liked the game is when I had my elbow brace on when I had the operation and for some reason, I did not enjoy the game, and didn’t wanna play. The moment I had my elbow brace off, I suddenly had the love back,” Smith said.
