“I’ve loved my time here over the last couple of years,” he added. “I adore the Club and the lads in the dressing room. ” It’s a shame because the freak accident in the Hampshire game did more harm than we imagined. I’ve been told not to play for a few weeks, so I’ll miss the rest of my time here. It’s unfortunate because the boys are performing admirably in both formats at the moment,” Siddle told Somerset.

“I’d describe myself as a friendly person who enjoys assisting others, and this extends to the clubs for which I play.” When it comes to assisting teams, I believe my experience will be beneficial. I just want to win, so when I join a team, I just do my best to help others and do my best to help myself. Hopefully, I’ve been able to aid the senior players as well as the younger boys like Tom Lammonby and Kasey Aldridge in some little way.

“I’ve had a great time being a part of the Club, and I’ll definitely miss it.” I’ve probably played my final game for Somerset, but I’ll be there as a fan to say hello to everyone. That is something I will definitely do.”

My days of signing long deals over the summer are behind me: Peter Siddle

The Australian seamstress was question if he would ever wear a Somerset shirt again. Siddle stated that he may no longer sign long-term contracts, although he may return for a short stay as a replacement.

“I believe my days of signing long-term contracts in the summer are over, but if I return to England and play. It will be as a replacement to cover someone for a short period of time. ” Who knows, maybe if Somerset sign Matt Henry again next year and he misses a month during his term. I’ll be able to dust off my boots and put on a kit again. You never, ever say never.

“I may have a game or two left in me for the Club. As things stand, I’m pretty sure my county cricket days are done.”

Somerset leads the South Group with 12 wins in 14 matches in the ongoing T20 Blast.
