After arriving in London for the tour, Team India began training for the rescheduled fifth Test against England on Friday.
Moreover, The rescheduled fifth Test between India and England will begin on July 1 at Old Trafford.
But first, it will play a four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire from June 24-27 in order to prepare for the Test.
The rescheduled fifth Test counts as the fifth match of India’s 2-1 series lead in England in 2021. Following a COVID-19 outbreak in 2021, the fifth Test was postponed at the last minute.
On the other hand, the Ireland-bound squad, led by VVS Laxman, will depart for Dublin on either June 23 or June 24, after a three-day rest. On June 26 and 28, India will play two Twenty20 Internationals against Ireland.
