Wasim Jaffer has become well-known for his impeccable sense of humor; and ability to create hilarious memes and lighthearted social media postings. One of the delights of his Twitter presence is his ongoing banter with former England captain Michael Vaughan.
From time to time, he also makes some excellent and perceptive observations on cricket.
On Wednesday, Jaffer used Twitter to share a joke from the film Lagaan; which he used to emphasize the IPL’s poor catching standards this season. Many catches have been lost in IPL 2022,;and Friday night’s match between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings was no exception.

Jaffer shared a scene from the film Lagaan in which the character Bagha tosses a capture on Twitter. Within the anecdotal intermittent film featuring Aamir Khan, Bagha had also a parcel of issues holding on to catches. The film’s conclusion was based on a coordinate between English officers and laborers; and it was a commercial and basic victory. It was designate for an Institute Grant for Best Remote Dialect Film but did not win.
