Men’s Asia Cup 2025 will be hosted by India in T20 format. In 2025, India will host the Men’s Asia Cup in T20 format. In contrast, the tournament play in a 50-over format in Bangladesh in 2027.
According to the Asian Cricket Council’s Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Sponsorship Rights document, six teams – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan – will compete in 13 matches. A sixth team will be determine through a qualifying event.

ACC insiders have suggested that it could take place in September, after the country’s monsoon season ends.
According to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Future Tours Programme (FTP) 2023-27, India will have a busy schedule in 2023-2027. The country will face England in a limited-overs series in January-February before hosting the Champions Trophy in February-March.
Following the IPL, the team will tour England in June and August before playing three One-Day Internationals and as many T20Is in Bangladesh. Thus, the Asia Cup is expect to take place in October, after the Bangladesh series but before the two-match Test series against the West Indies. However, sources in the BCCI clarified that no decision on possible venues has been made yet.
There will be no men’s Asian tournament in 2026, but a women’s Asia Cup in T20 format held that year, followed by a men’s U-19 and Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
Last year’s Asia Cup held in a hybrid format, with India playing all of its matches in Sri Lanka and Pakistan hosting a few home games. India won the title by defeating Sri Lanka by ten wickets in the final at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, captained by Rohit Sharma.
