Furthermore, Mohammad Kaif commented on Shubman Gill’s performance in the first Test. Gill scored 23 runs across two innings in the first Test, and Kaif stated that he will not always get flat wickets in the longest format and will attempt to make improvements in the next game.
“Shubman Gill is a really great batsman, no doubt about it, but his game is white-ball cricket on flat grounds as we see in limited overs internationals. However, in Test cricket, the ball can bounce and turn, so Gill must improve his footwork, and I am confident that he will make the necessary adjustments and score runs again,” Kaif remarked.
