Harmanpreet Kaur unleashes a stinging attack on umpires following the enthralling Mirpur match. After the third and final ODI finished in a draw, India and Bangladesh split the series.
Harmanpreet Kaur was enraged during the post-match presentation ceremony after some questionable umpiring decisions cost India an ODI series win against Bangladesh. The third One-Day International (ODI) at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium was a thrilling event, with all players attempting to exhibit their skills to the best of their abilities. The game concluded in a stalemate, and the teams split the series with one win each.
India lost a couple of wickets early on while chasing 226 to win, but Smriti Mandhana and Harleen Deol put on a 107-run partnership to push the away side closer to the mark. India still needed 87 runs when Harmanpreet Kaur came out to bat after Mandhana’s wicket fell. The Indian skipper tried to keep her team calm as they approached the mark, but her innings was cut short by a questionable LBW decision.

In the 34th over, Kaur attempted to sweep a delivery from Nahida Akter
The ball, however, struck her pad and fell into the hands of first slip. She rule out LBW by the umpire. After hearing the call, the 34-year-old became enraged and destroyed the stumps with her bat. On her way back, she appeared to indicate that the ball had struck her bat first. Later in the game, with the scores equal, India’s No. 11 Meghna Singh was adjudged caught behind. The pacer appeared to be upset as well, though her reaction was not as strong as her captain’s.
Harmanpreet Kaur chastised the umpires after the game for several of their questionable rulings. She also stated that the next time India visits Bangladesh, they will consider the level of umpiring and plan appropriately.
“I believe the game provided us with a lot of learning opportunities. ” Apart from the cricket, we were taken aback by the level of umpiring that was taking place. “The next time we come to Bangladesh, we will make sure we are prepared to deal with this type of umpiring. ” Kaur remark at the post-match presentation ceremony.
“They (Bangladesh) batted really well, batted with the situation in mind.” They were stealing the singles that were vital. We leak a few runs in between, but we controlled the game extremely well when we bat, but as I indicated earlier, some poor umpiring was done. We are very dissatisfied with some decisions made by the umpires.”
