Harare, 3rd July 2023: The much-anticipated Zim Afro T10 is less than three weeks away. The tournament’s five squads have been confirm. Beginning on July 20th, some of the top white-ball cricketers in the world will converge on Harare to thrill fans with some hotly contest games. Moreover, The tournament’s grand final is set for July 29th, with all games taking place in Harare.
The inaugural season of the Zim Afro T10 tournament
It is the first time franchise cricket has been include in Zimbabwean cricket. The Durban Qalandars, Cape Town Samp Army, Harare Hurricanes, Bulawayo Braves. Johannesburg Buffaloes are the five teams competing for the championship. During a grand ceremony at the Player Draft, the five franchises’ brain tanks came together to finalize their squads, forming stunning line-ups that promise to deliver sparkling cricket.
Asif Ali, Mohammed Amir, George Linde, Hazratullah Zazai, Tim Sifert, Sisanda Magala, Hilton Cartwright. Mirza Thahir Baig, Tayab Abbas, Craig Ervin, Tendai Chatara, Brad Evans, Clive Madande, Nick Welch. Andre Fleture are among the 15 players pick by the Durban Qalandars.
The CapeTown Samp Army have 17 players on their roster, with stars such as Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Shaun Williams, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Maheesh Theekshana, Sheldon Cottrel, Karim Janat. Chamika Karunaratne, Peter Hazlogou, Matthew Breetzke, Richard Ngarava. Zhuwao Cephas, Hamilton Masakadza, Tadshwani Marumani, Tinashe Kamunakewe, Parthiv Patel, Mohamed Irfan, and also Stuart Binny.
The Harare Hurricanes have 17 players in camp as well, with impact players like Eoin Morgan leading the way.

The Bulawayo Braves have signed Sikander Raza, Taskin Ahmed, Ashton Turner, Tymal Mills, Thisara Perera, Ben McDermott, Beau Webster, Patrick Dooley, Kobe Herft, Rayen Burl, Timycen Maruma, Joylord Gumbie, Innocent Kaia, Faraz Akram, and Mujeeb Ur Rehman for the inaugural edition of Zim Afro T10.
Mushfiqur Rahim, Odean Smith, Tom Banton, Yusuf Pathan, Will Smeed, Noor Ahmad, Ravi Bopara, Usman Shinwari, Junior Dala, Blessing Muzarabani, Wellington Masakadza, Wesley Madhevere, Victor Nyauchi, Milton Shumba, Mohamed Hafeez, and also Rahul Chopra are the only teams with a squad of 16 players.

In the coming days, all teams will add another person to their rosters

And I am glad that the Zim Cyber City Zim Afro T10 would provide a boost to the young cricketers by allowing them to rub shoulders with some of the top players in the globe.”
Mr. Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, Founder and Chairman of T Ten Global Sports, stated. “The Zim Cyber City Zim Afro T10’s Player Draft is a very big day for the T Ten family and Zimbabwean cricket as well. ” We are please to see that the squads are all well-balanced and pretty powerful, indicating that the event will be competitive.
