Devon Conway was a strong contender as well. In a video on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra remarked, “You can give it to both of them if you want, but when Ruturaj was batting, he was in an other league.
“There a brief period between the sixth and ninth over where I worried that things would stall, but after that, he struck a six and several more sixes consecutively. On a difficult batting surface, he struck three sixes against Kuldeep Yadav. “I didn’t feel this pitch was flat,” he added.
Chennai scored 223 runs in the first innings thanks to Conway and Gaikwad, and the visiting bowling attack did well to keep Delhi to just 146 runs overall as Chennai won by a score of 77 runs and advanced to the IPL 2023 playoffs.
