england v new zealand cricket bettingNaseem Shah Ruled Out of Third England vs Pakistan Test

Pakistan was already in trouble when they started with this ongoing England vs Pakistan test series. Shaheen Afridi was injured and not a part of the squad. However, the men in green were confident that Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah would do the task for them in the pace bowling department. Unfortunately, first Rauf was ruled out of the series but it was expected that Naseem Shah would be fine for the third test. The bowler has not recovered yet and will miss out on the last match of the series.

Pakistan has suffered a loss in both games and was looking to make a comeback in the final one. While the pitch at Multan was helpful predominantly for spinners, Pakistan did lack a good fast bowler. Prior to the series, Naseem Shah had mentioned he was all set to take the responsibility of leading the pace attack in absence of Shaheen Afridi. PCB released a statement announcing the unavailability of Naseem Shah for third England vs Pakistan test.

“A niggle in the bowling shoulder has ruled out Naseem Shah from the third and final Test between Pakistan and England at Karachi. The fast bowler will travel to Lahore where he will undergo further assessment at the National High-Performance Centre before beginning rehabilitation. The team management has not requested for his replacement at this stage,” the statement read.

While there is no replacement for Naseem Shah yet, the lack of good fast-bowling options is clearly visible. Currently, the squad only has Mohammad Ali as the fast bowler who had an average performance in previous England vs Pakistan test game. Mohammad Wasim Jnr might get a test call-up if the pitch in Karachi will be the one assisting fast bowlers. With Pakistan vs New Zealand series coming up soon, injuries to the fast bowlers are a worrisome sign for the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Apart from the injury struggles, the overall team performance has been below average causing the team to miss out on the World Test Championship finals. Mohammad Rizwan has seemed out of touch and captain Babar Azam has been touch and goes while making runs. Before diving into the next series, there might be several changes in the team are likely to take place.

england v new zealand cricket bettingRehan Ahmed set to become England’s youngest ever men’s Test cricket player at 18 years and 125 days old against Pakistan

Teenage leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed will make history as he becomes England’s youngest ever men’s Test cricketer against Pakistan.

The Leicestershire player has been called up by captain Ben Stokes to make his debut for the final match against Pakistan in Karachi on Saturday.

Ahmed will be 18 years and 126 days when the final Test begins, beating the record of Brian Close, who was 18 years and 149 days when he played against New Zealand in Manchester in July 1949.

Speaking about selecting the teenager, captain Ben Stokes said: “Having a wrist-spinner is always exciting, especially for England.

“But it’s about not getting too carried away with the potential that he has because he is only young. You’ve still got to nurture talent, no matter how exciting it is.

“I think it’s a england v new zealand cricket bettingRehan Ahmed set to become England’s youngest ever men’s Test cricket player at 18 years and 125 days old against Pakistan good opportunity for us to not only look at him but for him to come in and experience what it’s like to play international cricket.”

The teenager is one of two changes to the England side as the tourists seek a historic 3-0 series sweep.

Ahmed and wicketkeeper Ben Foakes come into the team, in place of seamer James Anderson and off-spinning all-rounder Will Jacks.

Foakes will regain the gloves from Surrey teammate Ollie Pope, who played in the first Test in Rawalpindi when Foakes was ill and then retained his spot behind the stumps for the second fixture in Multan.

It would also mark a ninth win in 10 Tests since Ben Stokes became captain and Brendon McCullum head coach.

England and New Zealand will do battle on Wednesday in their attempts to reach the final of the World T20, having made the last four of the tournament.

Despite losing their final match to South Africa, Eoin Morgan’s men topped Group 1 and face a Black Caps outfit who finished second in Group 2.

The two teams will meet in Abu Dhabi with a 2pm GMT start time for the first of the T20 semi-finals.

England will start the first semi-final as favourites. Currently, best-priced at 4/7, with the 2010 winners ranked the best international T20 team in the world.

New Zealand, who are yet to reach the final of this tournament, can be backed at 7/5 to cause an upset.

England to win – BET NOW

Injury blows have hit the favourites before and during this tournament, but they appear to still have the strength in depth to deal with key absences.

Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and Sam Curran were all forced to miss the tournament, while Tymal Mills and Jason Roy have since been added to the injury list.

Mills damaged his quad muscle during the group win over Sri Lanka, with Mark Wood recovering in time from his ankle problem to replace him.

After a weekend scan, Roy found out on Monday that he had suffered a torn calf muscle, with the England opener now out of Wednesday’s semi-final and a potential appearance in the final.

Sam Billings is expected to come into the team with either Jonny Bairstow or Moeen Ali moving up the order to open with Jos Buttler.

The Black Caps were handed a major fitness boost with the news that spin bowler Ish Sodhi was cleared to play against Afghanistan after passing a concussion test and are likely to name an unchanged team against England.

The two teams have been pretty evenly matched, with 12 T20 meetings between the two sides over the last eight years.

England have won six of those matches; New Zealand claimed five wins, and there was one tie – in their latest match in Auckland in November 2019.

The teams have met five times in the World T20, with England winning three of those matches, including a seven-wicket success in Delhi in 2016.

1st over total runs – under 5.5 – BET NOW

Just one team (India against Afghanistan) in six matches in Abu Dhabi has scored over 200, and a par score looks to be around 160.

Both bowling attacks look evenly matched, but it’s England’s deep batting lineup that is likely to give them the edge on Wednesday.

Even without the injured Roy, Buttler’s impressive form and the big-hitting of Bairstow and Liam Livingstone could be the key to England success.

With the relatively low scores on this pitch and the quality of the two attacks, it is also worth considering a bet in the 1st Over Total Runs – with 11/10 available on Under 5.5 runs.
