TV presenter demoted after disgraceful joke on Glenn McGrath’s death. Mylee Hogan’s co-hosts were taken aback by her remark.
Mylee Hogan, an Australian TV presenter for Channel 7’s Sunrise. Haul off the air for a few days and then downgraded to a field reporter for her disgusting remark about Australian icon Glenn McGrath’s death.
Hogan, who was on the morning program, attempt to follow a TikTok trend on-air, but it went horribly wrong. In order to film the response of his fellow crew, the anchor joked that the cricketer was dead when presenting their next section. However, her co-hosts Mark Beretta and Edwina Bartholomew were surprise by the statement and instantly disassociate from it.
“Don’t even…not that’s funny,” remarked Bartholomew on the air. “I’m not sure I understand. That’s not funny… it’s insane,” Beretta continued. Meanwhile, Hogan, who couldn’t read the room, continued to giggle as Bartholomew subsequently apologized to everyone in the room.

However, the story did not finish there. Her inappropriate comment highly slam on social media and users even label her to be ‘immature’. According to rumors, some viewers were threatening to boycott the show if Hogan not remove off the channel’s main show.
Following a strong outcry from the audience, management pulled Hogan from the concert, although without issuing an official statement. Monique Wright placed into the seat next to Mark Beretta, and Bartholomew was spotted replacing her.
Meanwhile, Hogan was back on the air on Thursday, reporting on Sydney’s rising population. It was then reveal that the previous host had been relegated to the position of field reporter barely 13 days after being present as the host. However, the station has yet to issue an official announcement.
