Rehne, what show? Legal notice in question, please. – After the Kamran Akmal controversy, Salman Butt criticizes the PCB. ‘We should not cross the line in terms of someone’s personality, appearance, and personal life,’ Butt believes.

The Pakistan Cricket Board issued a legal warning to Kamran Akmal for allegedly making insulting statements. Former Pakistani international Salman Butt ridiculed Pakistan Cricket on YouTube and questioned if he should keep posting videos on his channel.

Additionally, the former opener told PCB that they should feel free to voice their ideas on this forum, especially if they have prior professional cricket experience. The PCB, however, is still stringent under Ramiz Raza’s leadership and is instructed to act swiftly if any former players or staff members trash the national team.

“Rehne de ye show? Kahi legal notice na aa jaaye! (Should we stop the show? Else we might also get legal notice). Speaking about technical aspects, giving your opinion and speaking based on your experience, especially those who have much more of it than policy-makers is fine. You cannot challenge opinions. You can convince people with your explanation, logic and reasoning,”

Butt said.

Shahid Afridi and his brother Kamran Akmal, among other past greats, have previously requested Babar Azam to resign as captain following the T20 World Cup. Following defeats to India and Zimbabwe in the first two games of the campaign, Shoaib Akhtar criticized the team. Sources claim that the Pakistan board decided to intervene and make the changes because these kinds of remarks didn’t sit well with them.

Salman Butt Do not cross the line:

In the same video, Salman Butt emphasized that ex-cricketers shouldn’t go too far and personally attack others online. The 38-year-old requested that everyone who had previously done so refrain from doing so in the future.

“There is one more thing here. If we are talking about something, it should not personally hit anyone. We should not cross the line with regards to someone’s personality, looks and personal lives. We have not right to do that. Nor does anyone else have a right to cross the line against us. If someone has done it, people should refrain from such things,”

Butt added.
