According to reports, the BCCI is eager to employ former. India captain MS Dhoni’s experience in T20Is ahead of the 2024 World Cup. MS Dhoni was with the team for the T20 World Cup 2021 last year.

However, since Dhoni’s departure as India’s captain, the Men in Blue have failed to win a single major ICC competition. In their most recent season, India was humiliate by England in the T20 World Cup semi-finals.
The BCCI, India’s top cricket governing body. is considering conducting talks with the 2011 World Cup champion and incorporating him into Team India’s T20I system. Furthermore, the BCCI has requested a meeting with the players to discuss their poor performance in the just finished tournament.
BCCI might benefit from MS Dhoni’s experience.
Whether it’s the sport’s longest format or the 50-over format, Dhoni is familiar with both. If the BCCI is able to secure his services, the Men in Blue might benefit from his expertise as they get ready for forthcoming ICC events (particularly the T20 World Cup 2024).
Dhoni has only previously worked with the group once, during the T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE the previous year. Certainly, his short-term results did not speak well of him, but this time, he may have a long-term relationship with the club.
The cricketing community has also expressed the opinion that the management must be modified from inside. Some have even recommended adding the name of AB de Villiers to the set-up. It is still unclear how things will pan out because the BCCI has not yet made an official confirmation.
