Former Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad has called the current system’s future “uncertain,” citing the presence of foreign management. Miandad was also furious when the Cricket Pakistan presenter mentioned that Vernon Philander was also on the support staff for the T20 World Cup last year.

“Look at our cricketers who have played cricket in the past. I’m not talking about myself; I’ve received a lot of offers in the past but I didn’t go. What will happen to players who are there right now? They know they don’t have anywhere to go if they don’t perform. Fixing happened because of this very reason. Everyone was scared that their career will be over,”
He added.
During Imran Khan’s reign, rumors of fixing lingered around the Pakistan national team in the early 1990s. Many cricketers were accused of the same thing, and the team was also chastised. During the 1990s, former Pakistan cricketer Saleem Malik was in the news for allegedly asking players such as Shane Warne and others to underperform.
